Gentry PBS provides individualized parent consultation to help support them through difficult developmental stages, the educational process and choosing the right course of treatment for their child. All children have difficulties transitioning from one developmental stage to another to some degree. Some children just have more difficulty than others. Whether it be learning to use the toilet, sleeping in their own bed, keeping their hands to themselves, eating a wide range of foods or making and keeping friends, we can help coach parents through these difficult times.
We will work with families to come up with meaningful and effective positive interventions that they can use in the home and community. It is recommended that consultation extend to all individuals that support the child, including grandparents and habilitators.
The Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process is one that requires a lot of patience and assessment to be successful. The team at Gentry PBS has years of experience consulting to IEP teams to help assess the child and then use these assessment results to write appropriate, measurable and attainable goals and objectives.
The staff at Gentry PBS are highly qualified to provide consultation to teachers, classrooms, schools and entire districts. Some of the services include consultation regarding behavior management, applied behavior analysis (ABA), Discrete Trial Training, Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Picture Communication Exchange (PECs), visual supports, social skills training, and overall classroom structure.
