
Dr. Long
received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Ohio State University and
doctorate in school psychology from Arizona State University. While in graduate
school, Dr. Long spent four years working on a grant providing training and
support to schools throughout Arizona implementing positive behavior
interventions and supports (PBIS) and taught several courses in PBIS and
educational psychology. Additionally, she gained extensive experience in
assessment, therapy, and consultation while working in school districts, an
autism center, and a private practice. Dr. Long completed her training with an internship
in the Washington Elementary School District and a post-doctoral residency at
Gentry Pediatric Behavioral Services. Dr. Long is a
licensed psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist specializing
in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents ages 2-19 with
learning disabilities and dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays,
anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, and giftedness. Dr. Long has published and
presented nationally on topics including positive behavior supports, response
to intervention, and the educational impact of cancer and other chronic
illnesses. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Arizona State University
teaching courses on the educational assessment of exceptional children.
